Un discorso statistico sulla violenza politica in Italia

Abstract

The political violence that has taken place in Italy in the seventies is examined in quantitative terms with the aim of validating and extending the political and sociological analyses performed in the past years. In order to reach this objective, the events of political violence in the years 1969-1981 have been quantified, transformed into time series, and analysed by means of some statistical methods in both the frequency and time domains. Results highlight some unknown features of the political violence in Italy in the seventies, together with sorne kinds of association with indicators of the economic activity, prices and salaries.
