Abstract

In this paper we give an interpretation of the Bonferroni curve (BC) and index (B) from the reliability theory point of view. The close relationship between BC and the Scaled Total Time on Test Transform curve (T4) allows us to show some applications of the Bonferroni inequality measure in a reliability set-up. Criteria for classifyng a survival distribution and an ordering based on the hazard rate function are considered. The study also concerns the case of a random censorship which is usual in lifetesting.
