Abstract

We proved four characterisations of the exponential family: the first is an algebrical characterisation as affine space, the second is a geometrical intrinsic characterisation (theorem 1), thirdly there is a geometrical characterisation as immersed manifold (theorem 2) and finally there is a scalar characterisation (theorem 3).
