The observed convergence in the aggregate output per worker among European monetary Union countries is the result of the combination of complex sectorial dynamics. We find evidence of the existence of a divergence in sectorial productivity among countries. The unbalance if not governed, could lead to assimetric development between the European countries, as consequence of the greater integration of the markets that has been had with the euro. How to Cite
