In this paper, after a brief critical analysis emphasizing the necessity that in conditional inferences actual data should also play a role in the definition of the parameter estimator or the test, we propose two definitions for conditional analysis: one in the parametric and one in the nonparametric framework. The former is based on the notion of implicit function, the latter on that of invariance with respect to the permutation group.How to Cite
