A nonlinear discrete system, that describes how the fragile-X syndrome is transmitted through generations, is constructed. The problem of the existence of system's equilibria, depending on parameters, is considered, and some computer simulations are presented to study stability of these equilibria. Also, the results are compared with those already proposed in literature to describe the behaviour of the fragile-X syndrome. How to Cite
