We study an adaptive version of the Fisher combined test for general q-sample settings. The basic selector refers to a given set of test statistics, which may equiva-lently define the individual tests to be combined. The resulting Fisher combined test automatically chooses the most convenient test statistic to be used from each sample. The adaptive combined test proves to be of exact level, unbiased and locally optimal. How to Cite
