Abstract

Bayesian statisticians maintain that statistical inferences aim at determining the probabilities of single events As a matter of fact all statistical methods, including Bayesian, are based upon probability assumptions that transform single events into statistical ones. The paper presents a careful analysis of some of such assumptions.
